Breaking the Chains

Crossroads is aimed at young offenders and those at risk of offending, especially those that are involved in drug dealing, drug gangs and county lines.  It is a behavioural modification programme that questions the life-choices they are making and highlights the consequences of the choices they make.

The Crossroads programme has been written by ex-offenders and is delivered by its authors in a hard-hitting, no nonsense style, using their own personal experiences to challenge the existing attitudes and behaviours of young offenders and those on the fringes of criminality.

The Programme is delivered at various locations:

  • Youth centres
  • Social Clubs
  • Youth Offending Groups
  • Prisons

The course covers:

  • Stereotypes
  • Stress & Anger Management
  • Substance Misuse/Alcohol Abuse
  • Victim Awareness
  • Gang Involvement
  • Changing Behaviour
  • Life Skills

Crossroads encourages the students to look at themselves, to understand the choices they have made and why they made them, and to take responsibility for the sequence of events that may deliver them, or has already delivered them, into the criminal justice system.  We then develop a programme for each student that tackles their individual issues, draws their attention to their skills and talents and creates a practical pathway to a productive and crime-free future.

The course will be run by a professional course leader and two guest peer mentors for each session.

  • 8 sessions
  • 2 hours

  • Course Leader
  • 2 guest Peer Mentors per session
  • 10 Young Adults
