Since early 2017, the popularity of dancehall influenced artist Culan, has been growing organically, thanks to the viral success of his dancehall rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’, which has attracted millions of online views as well as support from the nation’s radio stations including Kiss FM, Capital Xtra and BBC 1Xtra.

Culan’s artistic journey to becoming a mainstream artist has seen him working with Jamaican heavy weights such as Beanie Man, Beres Hammond and Gappy Ranks.  Inspired by Bob Marley, Supercat and Movado, Culan confidently merges his own Jamaican heritage with his West London upbringing, resulting in his successful debut single ‘Appreciate That’ and his sensational follow-up single ‘After Me’.

“To see so many young people making the wrong choices ending up in jail or dying is sad and disheartening, that’s not why we are here.

Music is powerful, it kept me on a positive path. In life the most important thing is to do your best, and believe anything is possible. If I  can inspire or help someone focus on their goals, that alone is enough reward.’

No man is an island, team work makes the dream work.
